Creativity
There are many approaches to developing a solution. Some of these build on past known, logical, and proven solutions, to develop new solutions that are safe with low risk for failure. However, with standard solutions come standard capabilities and given the particulars of the requirement, may be a solution with no discernible improvement over other solutions or options. Creativity can spawn the development of new solutions for old requirements. I believe that creativity is an essential attribute to provide better solutions and services at a reduced cost and this should be a goal of all politicians. Unencumbered thinking to develop new solutions for new requirements, which are fresh, comprehensive, and on-target, common-sense, and cost-effective should be fully understood and embraced by all those who represent us. Unfortunately, this is all too often, not the case.
